Studies have shown that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and recent research has shown that people who eat breakfast are in general, better able to maintain a healthy weight.
Breakfast sets a tone for your day. If you start with a poptart, right away you’re going to be hungry in a very short while. Add that to the fact, you didn’t do your body any favors.
Oatmeal, and other whole grains, will leave you feeling fuller longer, and are heart healthy options.
If you are a carb-conscious dieter, an egg and a slice of canadian bacon may be just the ticket.
I’m a big fan of a fruity morning. I love to have a big cold smoothie first thing. If I’m still hungry, I follow that with a slice of homemade whole wheat bread. My favorite smoothie recipe is in the Breakfast section, while I’ve added the Whole Wheat Bread recipe in Salads and Breads.
